Tasty Tuesday Magic Crust Custard Pie!

I spotted this recipe on the Facebook sidebar, and being slightly skeptical, I whipped one up. Literally.
The original recipe called for margarine and 2% milk; I substituted butter and skim milk. I think it evens out.
And, yes, it does exactly what the recipe says it will do. Very easy, and it's pretty tasty, too!

Magic Crust Custard Pie

Ingredients

1/4 cup butter
4 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
a pinch of salt
2 cups milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup all purpose flour
ground nutmeg

Directions

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for 30 seconds. Pour into a buttered 9 inch pie dish and sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. The flour sinks to the bottom to make the crust.

I'm blogging today on Casablanca Authors. Grab a hunk of...er...a piece of pie, and come on over!

This Magic Crust Pie looks divine. So it's like Quiche but sweeter. I've been working on healthier eating habits and getting my protein. Even though you used a stick of real butter, and skim milk. I think I'll pass for now. But I think I'd take off the wrapper and partake of this other stick. It looks so divine and tasty. By the way I have a question. What makes your newest Zetithian Cat WILD? Can you tell us?

LOL! That title was decided upon by people who hadn't even read the book yet. He's more of a hermit, but the locals all think of him as the wild man of Borneo type. ;)

Donna - If you are looking for extra protein, I believe today's hunk might be a fun way to get it!

Catching up a bit after missing the past two posts while out of town in French Lick. (A Fellatrix in French Lick - Insert punch line here...)

Cheryl, hope your wet, tickly cough is improving. And yes, Saturday's hunk left my tonsils a little sticky, but he had something I used as a scraper!

I have got a magic pie shell this hunk could fill with his custard.

LOL! I've always thought the name of French Lick was a punch line waiting to happen!

Good one, Susan!

I have a bunch of very Talented Guy friends "The Wright Brother's" from French Lick, IN and proud of it. I love that name, and the image it brings to mind. Missed you Alicia. I think I kept you busy though.
