Thursday Thoughts

These pretty little fellows have been in bloom for a couple of weeks now, but I only got around to taking their picture yesterday.

I'd have thought that with my new work schedule, I'd find more time for things of that nature, but I haven't. I have found the time to read more, and not just the chapters sent to me by my critique partners. I'm also trying to read some newer stuff, rather than the Harry Potter books over and over again when I read to fall asleep.

I'm finding more and more that I like not working nights. I never realized just how bad I felt all the time until I go back after being off that schedule for a while. Some people were meant to be night owls, and some of us aren't. I think I'm one of the latter, which is an interesting discovery seeing as how I've only been doing it since 1976.

I've even had time to watch a little television. I've been watching The Voice and Smash. And FYI, the randy director on Smash (Jack Davenport) is the guy on whom Tychar, the hero of Rogue, is based. And yes, I still think he's hot. Quite roguish, in fact.

I'm probably watching The Voice more for Adam Levine than anything, although Blake Shelton is no slouch. Still, these days I'm more of a Maroon 5 fan than I am a country music enthusiast, though I have been in the past. It goes in cycles.

Still, what makes any of this blog-worthy (at least, on my blog) is that I'm actually able to discuss a couple of TV shows now, which is something I haven't done in ages. I'm looking forward to watching Awake, which boasts Jason Isaacs as the star, another of my long-time faves, who is reportedly a much nicer fellow than many of the parts he's played. He was SUCH a badass in The Patriot, but looked damn good while doing it.

And though he was marvelously evil in the Harry Potter movies,

I look forward to seeing him be the good guy for once.

I might even be inspired to write something new with one of these three as the hero. One never knows when inspiration will strike, so it pays to be open to it when it comes.

Or perhaps that Playgirl site Alicia sent me to will help....

Remember these guys, Alicia?
LOL! The hunks were certainly hairier in those days!

OMG!! Did you ever bring it back to me!! Back in the 1970's, while living in a coffee shack in Honaunau, we were plagued by lots of churchy people who would preach at us, so we posted the foldouts from all the recent PLAYGIRLS on the front of our fridge, and on the walls facing the front door....and the churchy ones quit coming...I remember these twins(?) picture from about that time...

HELLO, Adam...!!

Lol! You should have seen all the hair in those pics, Suzy. BIG hair and not so big YD's. Amazing!
Yeah, Jason was even hot as Captain Hook, CD!
We've given up satellite in favor of Netflix and broadcast, Ana. We get all the major stuff out here in the boonies except for ABC. It's nice to feel like I actually have the time to watch it!

Well, Isn't this interesting. It's nice that now you can watch TV and have time to watch more books. I have also become a fan of that new show Smash and I too love watching the Voice. I laugh at the banter between the judges. The new show Awake does look very good. Have you watched Person of Interest yet? That's another hunkelicious actor. I have to say I didn't know Adam Levine had that nice body. I do think Blake Shelton looks pretty fine too. As long as Talented Celo keeps his clothes on and he just keep stroking his persian cat. Jack Davenport was good in Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest. But I didn't pick up that's him in SMASH until now. SMH!! DAH!! I sure didn't know you were seeing him running around with only beads on his YD. Who was TRAG then? I remember those two playgirl centerfolds. I miss my playgirl. LOL Hairy Sexy Dawgs!!

Please forgive me. My head is so stuffed. I mean you can READ more books and watch more TV. Alicia, you're right. I see Quads, but I;m looking through glossy eyes.

Funny thing about Trag, he wasn't based on anyone. He came straight out of my head.

I thought JD was hot in all the Pirate movies, but I certainly didn't like it when he died. :(

Oh, yeah. Nice balls!

I'm not a fan of an over abundance of tats but there really is something adorable about the rascal look on the hunk covered with one hand;)

@Suzy. In rebel mode in the 1970's, I also used to post Playgirl centerfolds on my fridge. I thought turn-about was fair play. Still do:)

Adam is a bit of a rascal, isn't he?

I've never put centerfolds on my fridge. My guys would totally freak out! It was bad enough the day Sam spotted Willy for the first time...

Too funny Cheryl BUT this was w-a-y back in time...during the sexual revolution AND I was no longer married SO any man that was interested in me also needed to be able to deal. If he wasn't feeling my sense of equality, well then... "there's the door and don't let it hit you in the ass." Seriously:)

That's not to say that the man I was interested in would necessarily display posters of hot females BUT I was sick to death of the double standard and I considered it fair warning;)

Oh I just starting watching the The Voice & I'm totally crushing on Adam Levine with his perfect amount of scruff. I see that he's perfect all over. And Blake is not too shabby either.
