I'm being interviewed today on My Book Addiction and More! Come on over for your chance to win a free copy of Stud!
Thought for the day
Don't you wish they'd interview football players this way?????
Now for further thoughts.... A lovely hike through the mountains was spoiled by a couple of punks who broke out windows and stole Suzie's purse out of Terri's car.
About the best part of the experience was the park ranger. Young. Cute. Very nice. Sorry there aren't any pictures, but there will be a story about him someday....
In the meantime here are a few pictures taken along the way.
Clearly this is the one sign we should've heeded....
Willy didn't pay attention to this one...
And fell on his dick.
After I figured out how to work the timer on my camera, I took this one.
And this is Laurel Falls!
Now see if you can spot Willy!
Then we hiked back down the hill and found broken glass by Terri's car. And then I noticed the window was broken out. Suzie's purse was missing, along with a purse taken from another car. Fortunately, she had her phone and got her credit cards cancelled. I rode back with the park ranger, pumped him for information, and a story will, I'm sure, eventually follow. I think I'll call it Fiasco at the Falls....
The auto glass guys are supposed to come and fix the window in the morning.
After a nap, we went to Crawdaddy's for dinner and karaoke. Great hamburgers and a fun waiter. Terri and I sang Hotel California and Goodbye Earl, then I sang Desperado by myself.
We got a waving lighter on the first song, a girl told me we were real cute on the second, and I got a whistle on Desperado. Then we came home. All in all, an interesting day...

Willy seems to have the best adventures lol. I'm seeing football in a whole new light...
I don't think I'd ever be brave enough for karaoke so more power to you Cheryl lol
Did the Ranger say if the window smashing was a common thing?? Have they considered the window replacers as suspects? I remember a case like that many years ago, when I lived in a place where tourists abounded, and they were preyed on by some of the locals who saw them as 'marks', to be divested of all possible money before they went home....SAD, but true of some supposed human beings! Sorry it happened to you!!!!
Poor Willy. ;)
So glad you're having a good time!!
That was my second time at karaoke, Ana. The first was years ago and I had such a bad sinus infection, I probably sounded like a bullfrog. At least this time I was in as good a voice as I ever am...which isn't saying much.
@Suzy. He said we were the first break-in of the year and that they come in waves and that there were people who basically pay for their vacations that way. Sad, but true.
@Elizabeth. It's mostly been fun so far. This is our last day in Gatlinburg. Hopefully the window replacement guys will get here early and be done quickly. Other than where we're going to dinner tonight, I'm not sure what our plans are for today. We barely got all of our stuff into the car when we left home. Dunno how we're going to get all the new things in there. LOL! We might end up breaking another window...
u seem like u are having a blast so sorry some people are jerks but dont let that stop u guys
WOW...why is it that boys get the best toys??? ....love the shoulder pads. ;o)
I am so sorry about your friend getting her purse nabbed and the broken car window. Down here in the sunny south we have been having a rash of like thiefts. Its so bad that they send papers home with the school kids warning mothers who park, lock-up and run to the front of the school to pick up their kids.... only to find a broken car window and stolen purse when they get back with the child. Its sad that society has dropped to this level here in the US. On a brighter note...so glad that you and your friends are having such a good time. I love hearing about your fun outings... and Willy's adventures!
Another thing we've discovered is that woman carry way too much that is vital to their lives in their purses! It's a lesson to us all NOT to carry everything with you!
Sorry about your friends purse and the car window. I had my purse taken right out of my shopping cart so now.I use the child seatbelt and strap it around my purse. Good thing Willy has his own private nurse to take care of his injured dick.
WV: ship canal, our football player can put his ship in my canal anytime.
Aww!! I'm sure this young hunk scores alot of touch downs and off field goals. SWEET!! What a rotten end to a lovely hiking adventure for Willy and you girls. Rotten Thugs. Great job Karoake girls. Do you sing it sober? I hope you end your trip on a higher note. So that Park Ranger might Star in a up coming Fiasco at the Falls. I hope your dinner and return was uneventful and the glass was fixed.
The auto glass guys are down there fixing the window right now. Not sure what we'll do today, but we'll be getting started soon!
When I'm going to be doing a lot of walking around, I put my money and ID and a couple of credit/debit cards in a man's wallet that I carry in my purse. Then I can lock my purse in the trunk or leave it behind and shop or hike without being burdened by the weight of it.
Got my copy of Stud today, thank you Cheryl.
You're welcome, Susan! Hope you enjoy it!
Love the pics, Cheryl! The falls are beautiful. Looks like you're enjoying yourself despite the break-in. That's awful about your friend's purse being stolen. Hopefully her spirits were still up after that. It's such a violation of one's privacy.
Poor Willy! I hope his hand & knuckles are okay and he's still up and at em'! I would hate to think he couldn't perform anymore. LOL!
Fiasco at the Falls could turn into a real pleaser! Take that idea and run with it!
