Regardless of the fact that I felt like crap the whole time I was there, I think the Lori Foster Author/Reader Get Together would be a terrific opportunity for the Yah Yahs to get together next year. The hotel rate was reasonable, and registration was only $50. Plus, since we arrived on Thursday and the actual event didn't start until Friday at 4PM, we had most of that day to hang out together and chat. Something to think about. Now that Virgin and Sharing have launched, though I'll still be doing some guest blogs this month--three of them this week!--I really need to get going on CSC #9 again. I've been thinking about where I want to go with it, but it's kind of bittersweet knowing it will be the last cat star book. My editor at Sourcebooks told me she wanted me to do a contemporary series. I guess sci-fi and paranormal are old news. I'm not sure I want to write another series, but that seems to be the only thing they want from me. I gotta tell ya, the self publication directly to Kindle is looking better all the time, money-wise and sanity-wise.
We shall see!
In the meantime, try to ignore the tramp stamp and focus on the yummy buns instead.
Me, I'm trying to divert my attention from a plugged up ear. About the best I can say is that I'm not coughing my head off. At least, not right at the moment. . .

Cheryl I'm sorry you're still sick. That sucks so much.
I'd love to go to a get together like that. It sounds like a lot of fun.
I'm sad about the last CSC book too. I say more sci fi and romance! LOL.
As for the hunk...I like the water...And mmm I like the buns! *Sits down to stare*
Cheryl
It was sooo awesome hanging with you this weekend!! Even though you didn't feel well and your
1-900 voice sounded like the porn voice on Leah's GPS, you were amazing company. I think whatever you write will be great.
Cheryl, Too bad you're still under the weather. I'd love to do that Event next year. You must keep us informed so we can make our plans as soon as the event is announced. It would be so much fun to have the Yah-Yahs all together. This boy has a fine pair of Monday moon cheeks. I'm sorry you need to end the Cat Star Series. But being that you're a horse women. I think a contemporary series of horse breeders and ranchers and owners even the the vets. The well hung beasts and the fillies that love them. I'm sure you can come up with good breeding stock. I know we always love to know what goes on in the bunkhouse, barns, pastures, pole barns and on the backs of the horses. What do you think ladies?
Cheryl - Try pouring a small amount of Hydrogen Peroxide in your plugged ear. It will react with any congestion from the outside-in, and will remove water. I've been doing this for years and I usually feel better afterwards.
I'm right there with you on the plugged up ear, Cheryl. After two weeks of it, I'm about to go crazy!
Looks like our hunk found the perfect position over the jets in the pool :D Very biteable butt!
Not feeling the tramp stamp, but the butt is definitely a nice one. Sorry you're still under the weather Cheryl. I woke up the other day with the feeling that my ears were full of cotton. Just allergies though as it seemed to pass quickly. Feel better soon!
Thanks for sharing the photos and details of your weekend. So fun! Would love to attend of course!
I went and got a shot of Rocephin and a prescription for Keflex this morning. We shall see how this malady progresses! My ear feels better, though.
Sorry you're still ill. Hang in there!! Hope the antibiotics help quickly!!
Nice assets, tramp stamp and all!!
Yeah, I'd take those buns in a pinch ~ minus the tramp stamp. *snort*
@Diva Donna. I'm feeling the theme you suggested:) Cowboys and kilts never get old where I'm concerned;)
@Cheryl. I don't know all the pros and cons of self-publishing but what have you got to lose? If it doesn't work for you, is there anything preventing you from going back to the traditional way?
The ear thing has to be beyond annoying. Feel better soon.
The Lori Foster Author/Reader get together for next year definitely sounds like a good option for all of us to get together. I'm sure you'll keep us posted on the deets:)
If all the Yah-Yahs will be there next year, I'd love to go!! Perhaps most of The Sextet might be there as well! :)
I'll be sure to keep you all posted next year. This would be the best way I can think of to get together. You don't have to belong to RWA or any other group and it's a relatively small event. We'd be able to spend lots of time together.
You're right, Nancy. I really don't have anything to lose. Everyone who's tried this is making more money than they ever have before, and I figure I can sacrifice one manuscript at the very least.
