Monday Blooms and Moons!

Remember what I said about my hydrangeas never blooming and never being blue? Well I returned home from Myrtle Beach to discover that they'd made a liar out of me. This winter must have been mild enough that they didn't die back to the ground because they are now blooming in great profusion!

And not only that, but they're blue! Really and truly blue!

I picked a spray of them and brought them back to the house as evidence. Guess I should have bad-mouthed them on a blog sooner. Might have encouraged them more.

But enough about the hydrangeas. The lilies are blooming, too!

And since it's Monday, the moons are shining!

In other news, I think I'm down to the last chapter on Virgin, which is good since it's due in two weeks. The big event has happened and Dax and Ava (and I!) are about to discover what their happily ever after will be like. Something tells me it won't be quite what they'd anticipated!

Hello buns. Yes yes I approve. I really like being an HBI lol.

The hydrangeas look really pretty. But those lilies. Wow, they're so colorful.

Woo hoo for happy endings and Virgin finishing up! I know we're all super amped.

So question, I want to plant a flower to start but don't know where to start. Any ideas?

geraniums are simple, tough, and very forgiving---where do you want to plant this 1st flower??

Cheryl, you are such a tease...glad Dax and Ava are cooperating with you and Virgin is down to the wire! Those flowers are beautiful! I wonder who spilled the beans on you're dissing them earlier in the year! Nosey fairies perhaps? lol

Suzy's right, Ana. If you want color all summer, annuals like geraniums are your best bet. They'll grow pretty much anywhere as long as they have plenty of sun and water. If you want to plant perennials, you'd have to see what is available locally. Any garden center will have people who can advise you on what will grow well in your area.

Must've been fairies, Jessica! Either that, or we can thank global warming for the warmest winter on record. While it's not a good thing overall, my hydrangeas seem to approve.

I hope it's cooler wherever you are, MsM! I went out yesterday afternoon to pick some wild raspberries and felt like I was being roasted alive. We had thunderstorms last evening, and it's a little cooler, but the humidity must be 110%!

I love your Blue Hydrangeas. You must have alot of Aluminum in your soil to get blue. I have 2 huge white ones.
My pink lilies have just started. And Yellow Stella's. So pretty. And he moon has two yummy faces. Ana, Texas is great place to plant Yellow Cosmos. Pick a place that you want a wall of 4-7ft of gorgeous flowers. Cosmos means: Harmony or Ordered universe. Marigolds and Geranuims would go nicely with the Cosomos. You can pick up started Cosmos plants at garden stores. Or they grow from seeds too.

Ana, Being that you live in Region 6 of Texas. You can grow beautiful perennial Lantana's. And they'll bloom spring to fall. So many gorgeous colors. They look like small hydrangeas flowers. I think.
Now I need to go look at these cute Moons again. They bloom so nicely here.
