The last day. . . .

We head for home today. Peaches has probably given up on us by now. Chewie used to get this sad look in his eyes as soon as we started carrying out suitcases, like he knew what was coming. Something tells me that Peaches will probably do the same thing next year.

On Thursday, while Budley took Sam back to Ripley's Aquarium and Mikey slept in, I did a bit of writing and got the laundry done. Then we dragged Mikey out of bed and had lunch at Dirty Don's Oyster Bar & Grill, which is one of those picturesque little places I've had my eye on for years, but had never visited before. We didn't try everything on the menu, but the she-crab soup and fish sandwich were delicious!

After lunch, we went to the mall and the Books a Million had Fugitive! Unfortunately, it was on the bottom shelf, hidden away to the point that I had to get down on my knees to find it. Needless to say, it was in a slightly different location when I left the store, and so were those of my fellow Casablanca authors.

We went to an early showing of Prince of Persia after that. If you like action, this one had plenty of it, and Jake Gyllenhaal was pretty hunky,

but he had a brother, played by Toby Kebbell, who wasn't bad, either. He sort of reminds me of my favorite Medieval Times knight.

I'll be getting home late Friday night, but never fear, I've already got a couple of hunks lined up for the weekend! Here's one to get your weekend started right!

Kinda cute, isn't he?

good morning, ladies. great pictures, cheryl. i am so glad that u r having a good time.

ok, i need everyones help. i have been really quiet about all of this trying not 2 bring everyone down. but, i need everyone today, especially.

well, mom was diagnosed with breats cancer, again. she had her left breast removed about 15 years ago. now, we r going through it again. she is having her right breast removed today. we r leaving in about 45 minutes 4 the hospital.

please, just keep happy thoughts in your head. pray that she will b well. i am trying 2 believe that everything will b fine.

i cannot sit & wait at the hospital. i will get crazier that i already am. i am doing my best not 2 shed any tears (in front of her.) so, i will come home & wait until i hear from the hospital. she may stay over night. she may come home today. the dr will decide after/during surgery.

i will post how things went as soon as i know.

good news everyone!!!

mom made it through the surgery with flying colors. they removed her breast. the lymph nodes were NOT cancerous. this is wonderful news. she will still have 2 have her lung biopsied, but, b/c she's not cancerous in her lymph nodes that means that it didnt spread 2 her lung...its not in her blood.

whew!

so, she's resting comforably right now. its not been determined if she will stay until tomorrow or not yet. (i personally think that she will.)

she's finally taken a step in the right direction to...everything is going 2 b just fine!
