The hunkage is nice!! Thanks for thinking of us---bet you're already having a great time, and meeting lots of other authors---you can talk about the traumas of writing and publishing, and even promoting your books. This will be a great get-a-way to celebrate finishing the rewrite, and we all hope you have FUN and relax! You certainly deserve it!!
We've already been discussing all of the traumas of publishing. Our chat by the fireplace last night was very enlightening.
I'm up early this morning and now I'm doing a bit of blogging before breakfast, which is at 8. We had a great dinner last night and my pumpkin pie disappeared very quickly!
I think I'll go for a walk this morning and then, who knows, I may write a bit on Renegade!
Hey Cheyl, sounds like everything is going well. I'm so glad. You didn't mention the fan, so I gather it was a non issue. I think a lot of people have little things they need to help them sleep. I cannot fall asleep without the tv on. Thank goodness for the timer function! I never hear it go off and by then I've already fallen fast asleep.
Are you at a hotel? Or like a convention center? Or is it like "civilized" camping?
Cheryl, Yes the eyes are nice. Windows into a Hungry Hot Hunk. Feed him. I'm glad you had a nice fireside chat and pumpkin pie. Did that cozy fireplace give you ideas for Renegade. I'm sure Dax would look nice sprawled bare nekkid out on a fur in front of a fire. HMM!!! Oh I like that. Enjoy your walk.
Lisa, It's an old manor house that's been converted into a retreat facility. They provide meals and everything, and the rooms are nice. Lots of bathrooms, too, so there's always one handy. Right now, I'm in the living room with one person who is writing and two who are reading. I just went to a grammar class which was VERY useful.
My one roommate didn't mind the fan; in fact, there was already one in the room, but it was one of the quiet kind, so it wouldn't have done. I was rather wired, so I didn't sleep very well, but it wasn't the noise factor!
I'm taking a short break from Renegade right now, but, yeah, Dax would look fabulous stretched out on a sheepskin rug in front of the fire. The visual is making me drool!!!
Diva donna I like the way you think. The fireplace would really highlight those abs. Woo Hoo. Nice!!! Thanks Cheryl. It sounds like you are enjoying your weekend. Make the most of it, consider it a vacation, of sorts.
